QuantMinds International 2025 delivered another successful edition of the world’s biggest and most influential quant finance event. Our team was thrilled to take part.

We contributed a diverse set of sessions, beginning with Alexander Sokol’s presentation on the Psychology of AI, which sparked thoughtful discussions and highlighted how behavioral psychology provides precise and helpful vocabulary for analyzing AI responses in model risk management.

Acknowledging the human traits and psychological biases of AI is critical for successfully managing AI model risk.

As a joint effort, Alexander Sokol, Andrei Lyashenko, and Fabio Mercurio hosted an extended session on Autoencoder Manifolds and Their Use in Risk-Neutral Modeling of Yield Curves, which drew strong interest from practitioners.

Alexander also led a hands-on workshop on Using Behavioral Psychology to Improve the Reliability of AI, emphasizing that the key to building reliable AI-based workflows is recognizing that AI shares many human cognitive biases and is similarly prone to occasional errors in logical reasoning.

This is why the key to successful AI-based workflows is setting them up in a way that would help a human succeed.
It was great to see the AMD team in person at QuantMinds 2025. Read this article to learn more about our collaboration on Derivatives Portfolio Calculation.

A highlight for us was our third annual hackathon, Mitigating Cognitive Biases in AI, in collaboration with QuantMinds.

Hackathon participants worked to create prompts that would prevent the cognitive biases of AI from affecting the result across several categories of tasks.

Congratulations to the 2025 winners!
