Sybase

CompatibL Analyst is integrated with the following products from Sybase:

  • Sybase IQ (column database)
  • Sybase ASE (row database)
  • Sybase iAnywhere (lightweight row database available as embedded software)
  • Sybase RAP (an integrated product which includes database, in-memory cache, and CEP)

When pointed to Sybase, CompatibL Analyst is able to import the schema and automatically generate code for the data access layer which provides read and (if permitted) write access to the database. The user can then write code within Analyst for working with the data stored in Sybase, including the ability to:

  • Run ad-hoc reporting and analytics on relational or column data stored in Sybase or steaming via Sybase RAP
  • Develop, debug, and test Sybase user defined functions (UDFs) in CompatibL Analyst, and then deploy them to the database server, making them available to Sybase SQL code.
  • Monitor events arriving via Sybase RAP using a combination of CompatibL's Caching Server and Event Monitor. The Event Monitor is a highly configurable application which makes it possible to visualize streaming data, as well as enhance its visualization by performing additional analytics in real time in either Caching Server or Event Monitor.
